19. How I Transformed My Life From A Suicidal Drug Addict Who Faced 145 Years in Prison

Gary Robinson has a unique story of transformation. When he was 11, his mother committed murder, and with an absent father and his mom’s poor life choices, there were few people in the family willing to take him in. At 13 years old, Gary considered himself dependent on alcohol and his life really spiraled out of control when at 15 he tried to commit suicide. He ended up living on the streets and selling drugs. At 19 an encounter led him to kidnap and rob two men and he received a 15-year prison sentence. When in prison, he saw a Bible and wondered what he could become if he followed God’s word. This revelation went on to not only change his thinking but change his life!
